A PhD Fellowship in Chemistry is available in the group of Dr. Haritz Sardon at the Basque Center
for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa
(http://www.polymat.eu/en/groups/Catalysis-and-Sustainable-Polymers) in collaboration with
Prof. Steven De Meester from the Laboratory for Circular Process Engineering at Ghent University
(www.lcpe.ugent.be).
Applicants must have a BSc and MSc in a discipline with important focus on chemical- or processengineering
or bio-engineering. Knowledge of ASPEN and/or being able to operate separation
processes will be a plus. Social skills are equally important, as this position will require mobility
between both participating institutions.
Good command of written and spoken English is a must (if preselected, a telephone interview will
be carried out before any other appointment is made). The selected candidate is expected to
conduct research, write papers, and deliver a PhD thesis.
