 A PhD Fellowship for the Development of Nanogels for Gene Therapy of Skin Diseases is available at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa (www.polymat.eu) and the Center for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials- CIC biomaGUNE (https://www.cicbiomagune.es). 

Applicants must have a BSc and MSc (or equivalent) in Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, Biomaterials or Biology, preferably with a strong background in polymer science and nanomedicine. Previous experience in gene delivery, responsive nanogels, cell culture, polymer nanoparticles, will be highly appreciated. Qualified candidates must also demonstrate outstanding communication skills, have a strong passion and commitment to science, and work well within a group. 

Good command of written and spoken English is a must (if preselected, a telephone or Skype interview will be carried out before any other appointment is made). The selected candidate is expected to conduct research, write papers, deliver a PhD thesis, and establish interdisciplinary collaborations. The research work will be done at the interface between the research groups of Dr. Sergio Moya and Dr. Marcelo Calderón.
