Descripción | A Postdoctoral Fellowship is available in the Responsive Polymers for Therapeutics (RPT) group at the Basque Center for Macromolecular Design and Engineering, POLYMAT Fundazioa (www.polymat.eu). The fellowship is framed in a collaborative project between the RPT group (http://www.polymat.eu/en/groups/Responsive-Polymer-Therapeutics-Group) and the ZBIO group (http://www.polymat.eu/en/groups/group-in-science-and-engineering-of-polymeric-biomaterials) of POLYMAT. This collaborative project aims to synthesize antibody-polymer hybrids that will be applied for the therapeutic treatment of glioblastoma cancer cells. The project is highly multidisciplinary and combines research involving biochemistry, applied polymer chemistry, materials chemistry and engineering, and biology. The first 6-8 months of the project is intended to be carried out in our premises in San Sebastián (Faculty of Chemistry, University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU) and the last part of the project in Bilbao (Engineering School, University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU). Required qualifications and experience. Applicants must have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics or a related discipline. The candidate is expected to work in a multidisciplinary and an international environment. Good command of written and spoken English is a must . Applications should be addressed to Dr. Ana Beloqui Elizazu and sent via email in one single PDF to ana.beloquie@ehu.eus before the 05.12.2020 including: (i) a cover letter highlighting their interest in the position. (ii) curriculum vitae. (iii) a short description of previous research (1-2 Pages). (iv) the names and contact addresses (e-mail) of two academic referees. Please note that because of the large number of applications expected, we will not be able to give individual feedback to unsuccessful applications. POLYMAT has obtained the ‘HR Excellence in Research award‘. The award reflects our commitment to continuously improve our human resource policies in line with the European Charter for Researchers, the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers and our commitment to achieve fair and transparent recruitment and appraisal procedures. |
