microINR coagulometer by iLine Microsystems

The FDA, the competent health authority of the United States Government, has approved the microINR coagulometer for sale in the country. iLine Microsystems and its microINR are already present and approved for sale in more than 50 countries.

The microINR coagulometer is a portable device that is used to monitor oral anticoagulant therapy (OAT) in patients with treatments such as Sintrom®, and who require periodic controls of their INR (coagulation index).

The advantages provided by such an innovative device with the microINR are its compact design, easy to use, its automatic calibration and the low volume of sample to analyze. All this means greater safety and patient satisfaction and has been recognized by studies conducted in the U.S.

For the company from San Sebastian, the approval by the FDA has meant a recognition of the quality and reliability of the system, which will serve not only to expand the business in the U.S. but as a guarantee of quality for its customers and users.

Since its inception iLine Microsystems has had the support of Fomento de San Sebastián to continue advancing in their research projects. Today, it has a team of top-level international professionals dedicated to biomedical and biotechnological research in diagnostic solutions.
